Smoky Mountains

We took a road trip up the east coast from Florida to Canada. We went right through Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The mountains are beautiful and the whole park is magical.

Costa Rica

My family and I (sans Mom) went to Costa Rica a couple of years ago. These are some of my favorite photos from the trip. We had a lot of fun. I can't believe the amount of wild life we saw. We also went to the hot springs and volcano's. It was an amazing trip

Vase

Rob and I bought this from World Market. I loved it but we waited for a 30% off coupon. I love coupons but I love this vase more!

Mom's plate

My mom painted this plate for my brother and I. I love the design on it. I cherish this plate. I can't believe I have had it for almost 8 years and this is the first time I have photographed it!

Coconut

Rob bought coconut sorbet served in the coconut shell. I thought the shell was so beautiful and the sorbet was so so yummy, too!

Self

I took this photo of myself. I like the softness of the photo.

Light

I have been playing with motion and photography, I took this photo this morning sitting on the couch watching Moving Up on TLC.

Fish

I love the way the light looks like a school of fish swimming in a dark deep ocean.

Ireland

Some pics from our family trip to Ireland. We had a great time! Great place to visit.

This photo was taken a few weeks ago at the park behind the art center in Des Moines Iowa. I love this picture. A picture of the park behind art center in the summer is below (It has Lilly pads in it). This is my dog and husband, so cute!

Madison

Blue Springs Park in Deland Florida

This park is near my parent house, it may be called blue springs but it is really green! Manatees hang out there in the winter. They are so sweet.

Ice storm

We had an Ice storm and everything was covered with ice. It causes a lot of accidents and tons of people slip and fall but it makes for amazing views and pictures. It was a winter wonderland. This is a tree behind DMU. I was walking my dog and happened to have my camera with me. I am glad I did not miss it. It was actually my first "snow-day"!

Plane

I was flying from Florida to Iowa in December and the sun was setting. I took this photo from the plane. I think the rolling clouds are so cool and the color of the sun is awesome.

Des Moines Art Center Park

We frequent this park often, it is such a fun place to go. It is a couple of miles from our place and there is so much wild life around. This park also has nature trails and in the winter you can ice skate on this lake!

Chicago Aquarium

This little critter is pretty cute.

I can't remember when this was taken but I really liked it.

Tanks

This photo was taken when Robs mom was in town at a park where there are tanks you can climb on and look at. I love the color of the sky, almost lavender.

Downtown Des Moines

My husband and I had a picnic out in downtown and went sledding down a little hill there. These stairs lead to the river, which was frozen. So beautiful.

I love the way the flash reflects off the snow flakes, it shows so much dimension.
